We are a community of people of all ages who have responded to God's love in Jesus. We believe that we are called:
We meet every Sunday morning at 10.30 a.m. and everyone is welcome. Our Minister is Revd. Claire Simpson.
We hold a coffee morning in the chapel on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 a.m. providing tea, coffee and biscuits. Proceeds go to a chosen charity. We are often joined by the Oakley Village Woodland Walkers Group who enjoy a very welcome cuppa after their walk.
We hold our annual Christmas Fayre in November in aid of church funds and welcome various charities who sell their Christmas merchandise and many village folk look forward to this event. We also take part in the village annual Open Air stall event in June and welcome village folk in the chapel to taste and buy home-made cakes.
We are part of ' Churches Together ' in Oakley and enjoy witnessing with other denominations at our Good Friday open air service outside the chapel by the pond which is followed by refreshments and hot cross buns. We also hold an ecumenical service in the Junior School in the summer which is a wonderful opportunity for all Christians in the village to worship God together and is usually very well attended.
We welcome various village groups who meet in the chapel during the week including the Youth Café who meet every Tuesday afternoon from 3.00 p.m. and welcome young people from age 11 years of age for fun, food and friendship . The group is run by the Youth Leader and volunteers from St. Leonard's Church and is very popular.
The Oakley Village Hub run several groups in the chapel such as 'Sitting and Standing Keep Fit', Flower Arranging and Tabletop Gardening. The Oakley Lace Group also meet weekly, and the Parish Council often use the chapel for events during the year including Green Week meetings and Carols by The Pond at Christmas.
